Conveyancing

Our skilled team of conveyancers have many years experience of providing a high quality, efficient service to clients in Kent and all over the South East. Unlike many of our competitors, we don't pay incentives to estate agents or sales negotiators to refer clients to us - they recommend us because we are friendly, efficient and get things done.

Our work includes:

  • Sales
  • Purchases
  • Shared ownership, Key Worker and other social housing schemes
  • Mortgages and re-mortgages
  • Transfers of equity following divorce or separation
  • Buying or selling additional land

We recognise that time is important to you when you are buying and selling your home or investing in property.  We also understand the frustration of not knowing what is going on - you can talk to us whenever you need to and we will make sure that you really know what is happening. see [What our clients say]

Our fees are good value and we always tell you the total cost of our fees - some firms may look cheaper but with us there are no hidden charges so no last minute surprises about how much it will cost you.

Energy Performance Certificates

Home Information Packs (HIPs) have been scrapped by the new government. However, you will need to obtain an Energy Performance Certificate when you sell your home.

If you would like us to obtain an EPC for your property, please call our residential conveyancing team on 020 8313 1300 or email your details to james.bedwell@marsons.co.uk.

Additional Services

Our New Homes Unit acts for people buying new homes from developers.  We are regularly recommended by developers so it is likely that we will already have acted on other properties on the development site.  That means you will benefit from our existing knowledge of the site, the contractual documentation and our existing relationship with the developer and its solicitors.

Our Shared Ownership Unit acts for clients purchasing through Shared Ownership, Key Worker, ChoiceHomeBuy, NewBuildHomeBuy schemes and other types of buyer initiatives involving many different organisations in the social housing sector.  These schemes provide you with valuable assistance to buy your home but they can be complicated and difficult to understand.  We can help you through the process and make sure that you understand not only the undoubted benefits but also the obligations the scheme will impose on you.  Our experience in Social Housing [see Social Housing Department] means that we are well placed to give you the best advice available.
