Litigation

We work for businesses and individuals finding solutions to all types of commercial disputes - by negotiation, mediation, arbitration and, where necessary, litigation in the High and County Courts, and the Employment Tribunal.

The team's work includes:

  • Contract disputes
  • Director/Shareholder disputes
  • Partnership disputes
  • Product liability
  • Sale of Goods liability and consumer issues
  • Professional negligence
  • Property litigation
  • Debt recovery
  • Employment
  • Insolvency and banking

We know that litigation can have a significant effect on your profit margin so we provide transparency in how we charge and to give you realistic estimates of costs to enable you to budget, as well as advising you on which are the most cost effective options to resolve your dispute.

The team is headed by Jennifer White who comes from a background as a banking lawyer and adviser to institutional lenders.  Her experience includes conducting and defending complex property litigation for large corporations; advising SME's on contract disputes, directors' duties, dealing with shareholder disputes, advising on Sale of Goods and consumer issues and protecting companies from third parties stealing their ideas and/or products.

Jennifer's clients value her pragmatic advice on difficult business problems and personnel issues. Her combination of commercial sense and attention to detail help clients to reach the solutions which best meet their concerns and the needs of their business.  If negotiation or mediation do not work, Jennifer and her team will fight hard to prove your case in Court or the Tribunal.

We are recommended by the Law Society for our expertise in professional negligence work - we advise in claims against solicitors, accountants, surveyors, valuers and other professionals.

We are recognised in the Legal 500 as one of the leading firms in Kent, Surrey and Sussex for Commercial Litigation .
